You’ll find all the simple ingredients to make this no-bake Cherry Cheesecake recipe in your local grocery store:

  • Cream cheese: For the creamy filling. Use softened cream cheese for a smooth texture, and you can also opt for fat-free cream cheese for a lighter version.
  • Cherry pie filling: For the delicious cherry topping. While store-bought works great, you can also make homemade cherry pie filling with fresh fruit.
  • Powdered sugar: Helps balance the tartness of the cherries.
  • Cream: Improves the rich texture of the cheesecake filling.
  • Cool whip: Adds a light and airy texture to the cheesecake mixture.
  • Oreo cookie crumbs: Serve as the crunchy base of the cheesecake.
  • Butter: When melted, it binds the Oreo crumbs to create a firm crust. Use unsalted butter. 
  • Vanilla: Improves the overall taste. Use pure vanilla extract.
  • Cherry jam: Boosts the cherry flavor.

How to Make Cherry Cheesecake

Follow these simple instructions to make this no-bake cherry cheesecake dessert. See the recipe card below if you need more help.

Step 1: Make the Cookie Crust

Combine melted butter with the Oreo cookie crumbs in a medium bowl. Use a fork to mix well. 

After that, press the cookie crumb mixture into your 9 x 13 baking dish and spread evenly. This is the base of your lasagna – put it in the refrigerator while you make the cheesecake mixture

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Filling

Beat cream cheese on medium-high speed until light and fluffy with an electric mixer. 

Then, add the dry ingredients: powdered sugar and white sugar. Mix into the cream cheese on low with your hand mixer.

Next, fold in the heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until the whipping cream is fully mixed into the cream cheese. 

After that, add the cherry jam and mix into the batter, then add the cool whip and beat on medium speed until well combined. 

Finally, divide the mixture in half.

Step 3: Make the Cheesecake Layers

Cover the cookie crumb base with a layer of the cream cheese mixture and spread evenly using a rubber spatula.

Step 4: Add Toppings

Sprinkle 3 packets of mini Oreo cookies over the cheesecake layer.

Spoon one can of cherry pie filling over the mini Oreos and cream cheese. 

Repeat this once more, finishing with two cans of cherry pie filling for the top.

Step 5: Chill in the Fridge

Leave the lasagna in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving. Store in an airtight container, or wrap well with plastic wrap.

  • Crust Craze: Any chocolate wafer cookie will do for the crust. Want to switch it up? Vanilla Oreos or even Graham Crackers work well, too.

  • Fruit Fiesta: While fresh cherries are the star, you can totally turn this into a no-bake strawberry cheesecake. You can use any seasonal fruit really.

  • Paddle Pro: Using the paddle attachment of your mixer can help you get a perfectly blended cheesecake filling without over-mixing.

Can I make a soft graham cracker crust?

You bet! Just mix a little bit of melted butter and Graham Cracker crumbs together and combine well. Remember to press the mixture down firmly in the pan!

Can I use a cup of cherry preserves on top?

You can top this with anything you’d like! Anything cherry, strawberry, or blueberry is going to taste divine on top of the whipped cream layer.

Can I freeze this no-bake dessert?

I think that it’s best served fresh, but if you want to store it in the freezer, wrap it well or use an airtight container. 

Just note that freezing might mean it loses its creamy texture.

Where did I get my inspiration for this recipe?

To be honest, I loved my No-Bake Apple Pie Lasagna recipe so much that I knew I had to make a cherry version!

An easy dessert that will feed a crowd, our No Bake Cherry Cheesecake Cookie Lasagna, looks as wonderful as it tastes!

Ingredients

  • 3 cans Cherry Pie Filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • ½ cup Cream, 35% MF
  • ½ tsp Pure vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Pure Cherry Jam
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, 1 tub
  • 3 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • Mini oreo cookies (6 packets)
  • Dark Chocolate Bar (for chocolate shavings)

Instructions

  1. A quick reminder to lightly cooking spray a 9 X 13 baking dish or pan so that this perfect dessert recipe doesn’t stick.
  2. Melt the butter and add it to the Oreo cookie crumbs, and mix well with a fork
  3. Press the cookie crumb mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly. This is the base of your lasagna. Put this in the refrigerator while you make the cheesecake mixture
  4. Beat cream cheese on medium-high speed until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the dry ingredients: powdered sugar and white sugar. Mix into cream cheese, with mixer on low.
  6. Fold in heavy cream and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until whipping cream is fully mixed into cream cheese. 
  7. Add cherry jam and mix into the batter.
  8. Add cool whip and beat on medium speed until mixture is well combined. Divide in half
  9. Cover cookie crumb base with a layer of the cream cheese batter and spread evenly.
  10. Sprinkle 3 packets of mini Oreo cookies over the cheesecake layer.
  11. Spoon one can of cherry pie filling over the mini Oreos and cream cheese. 
  12. Repeat this once more, finishing with two cans of cherry pie filling for the top
  13. Leave the lasagna in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before serving.   Store in an air-tight container and keep refrigerated. Best served cold.
