TIPS

FAQS

Can I use a yellow cake mix instead of the Butter Pecan Cake Mix for the Pumpkin Pie Crunch?
Absolutely!

Why does my pumpkin pie filling have cracks in it when I take it out of the oven?

Let your pumpkin pie cool in the oven. The cooling of the oven temperature will prevent the top from cracking.

Can I make my pumpkin pie the day before Thanksgiving? Or even two days before?

You can make your pumpkin pies before the big day! Usually the day before is best and make sure you refrigerate your pies.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH HOMEMADE PUMPKIN PIE

Whipped Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream, Cool Whip, Maple Syrup, Chopped Pecans, and sprinkle with Cinnamon or Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice!

RECIPE VARIATIONS

You can use store-bought pie crust if you are in a pinch for time! There are some amazing products available now. We used one for our classic apple pie recipe and traditional tourtiere. Both were delicious!

Feeling adventurous? Use your own pumpkins and make homemade pumpkin puree instead of canned. It takes more effort, but a good way to use those leftover pumpkins from Halloweโ€™en. I canโ€™t taste the difference between homemade or canned, but some say they can!

Where did I get my inspiration for these recipes?

Our Classic Pumpkin Pie recipe is a family favorite and handed down. Itโ€™s actually a version of the famous Libbyโ€™s Pumpkin Pie. And I wanted to create a Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie for some special guests one year.

I created the Kahlua Pumpkin Pie just because. And our Pumpkin Pie Crunch is a recent addition and just so much fun to make.

So whether youโ€™re craving a pumpkin smoothie, pumpkin muffins or are ready to bake a pie – this is a collection of the best pumpkin pie recipes and I know they will become your favorites too!

Enjoy!
