๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ How to Make the Best Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie:

(You can get the detailed recipe ingredients and instructions in the recipe card below)

  1. Make the chocolate base: Make the chocolate mixture and pour it over the graham cracker crust. Chill until set, about an hour
  2. Make the peanut butter filling: Once the chocolate base is set you can make the filling. Beat together peanut butter, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. It will look like a creamy peanut butter mousse.
  3. Build your pie: Spoon filling into the chilled pie crust base and smooth the top.
  4. Cover and Chill: Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  5. Decorate and serve: Sprinkle half of the chocolate chips and all of the salted peanuts over the top of the pie. Drizzle the melted remaining chocolate chips overall and serve! The finished product will wow your guests!

๐ŸŒŸ Pro Tips:

  • Room temperature: Softened cream cheese is so much easier to mix and your pie filling will be smooth and silky.
  • Donโ€™t like graham crackers? Use Oreo cookie crumbs and make an oreo cookie crust instead for a double chocolate hit.
  • Chill time is important: Make sure your pie is in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before you serve it.  You wonโ€™t get clean slices of pie without it.

โ“ FAQs:

Can I freeze this pie?

Yes, you can freeze our Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, for up to two months, without the toppings.  Make sure the pie has cooled completely, and is wrapped well.

Can I make my own graham cracker crust?

Absolutely! You can use graham cracker crumbs, or crust graham crackers in a small food processor.

Can I add different toppings to my Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie?

Sure you can! Swap in different mixins like chocolate peanut butter M&Ms.

๐ŸงŠ Storage Ideas:

  • Fridge: Your pie can be stored for up to 5 days if it lasts that long!
  • Freezer: If you wish to freeze your pie, wrap it well using both plastic wrap and foil then place it in an airtight container – a x large freezer bag will work well. When youโ€™re ready, thaw your pie overnight in the fridge for best results.

๐Ÿ’ญ What Inspired Me to Make This Recipe:

I love no-bake recipes and no-bake pies especially.  My Mom made lots of yummy desserts using whipped topping (Cool Whip) and this recipe reminds me of those treats she would make when it was just too hot to bake. And weโ€™re huge peanut butter cup fans in our house and this easy peanut butter pie recipe is kind of like a chilled peanut butter cup!
