Fudgy Chocolate Brownies FAQS
I think brownies should be gooey and chewy!ย There really are two different types of brownies – those that are gooey and chewy like this recipe, and then there are cake like brownies.ย What makes them cake like is the number of eggs you include – fewer eggs means a chewier brownie.
For gooey, fudgy brownies, bake for the exact time stated, and take them out of the oven at the minimum time.ย So if the recipe calls for 30 to 35 minutes then take them out of the oven at 30 minutes.
When you mix the dark chocolate and milk chocolate chips into the batter, make sure they are distributed evenly in the batter.ย ย If not, they might gather and sink to the bottom of the pan.ย These brownies will definitely be gooey chocolate goodness in the middle!
Tips for Making Perfect Gooey Chocolate Brownies
- Mix all of the ingredients until well moistened, but don’t over stir – we don’t want tough gooey chocolate brownies.
- Follow the instructions exactly.
- Check your oven times carefully. If the edges of the brownies have pulled away from the pan, you will have a cake like brownie.
- These brownies are rich and flavourful, one square per person is perfect.
- You can substitute white chocolate or butterscotch chips if you wish.
- This baking time is perfect for this chewy fudge brownie recipe.
- Serve your brownies warm, with a big ole scoop of vanilla ice cream, and lots of chocolate sauce.
- Save your brownies (if you don’t eat them all!) in an airtight container. You can also cut them into squares and freeze the pan of brownies for up to 3 months.
