You’ll need:
– Graham cracker crumbs
– Sweetened condensed milk
– Fresh lemon juice
– Lemon zest
Heavy cream

How to Bake the Best Lemon Tart (recipe card below)

  • Make sure the graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter are mixed well and pressed firmly into your tart pan
  • Mix the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, lemon zest and fresh lemon juice until thick
  • Pour into prepared crust
  • Chill at least 4 hours (or overnight)
  • Top with whipped cream or cool whip

Tips and Tricks for Cozy Bakers

  • Get all of your ingredients out before you start, including juicing the lemons and grating the lemon zest. 
  • Use fresh lemon juice, not bottled!
  • Add parchment to the tart pan bottom for easy removal
  • Use a zester for extra fragrant lemon zest
  • Chill until fully set for clean slices – I recommend overnight if you can.

Serving & Storage Tips

On the day you plan to serve this refreshing lemon tart, garnish it with freshly whipped cream, or use the real whipping cream in the aerosol can (in the dairy section). Make sure it’s kept chilled until you’re ready to serve.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tbsp butter - melted
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice - fresh
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream - 35% MF
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar in a small bowl
  • Place the crumb mixture into the tart pan and press firmly in place using the bottom of a glass (as shown in the video)
  • Set the tart pan aside
  • Add the lemon juice and lemon zest to a medium sized bowl
  • Pour in the heavy cream, and sweetened condensed milk. Add the vanilla, and mix well.
  • Pour the filling into the graham cracker crust.
  • Chill for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight
  • Garnish with whipped cream
