No Cook Freezer Apple Pie Filling Recipe

A simple method for making and freezing apple pie filling so you can bake a fresh pie any time — no last-minute apple prep needed.

Ingredients

  • 10 cups apples sliced, peeled & cored apples
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn starch
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • freezer bags large zipper style

Instructions

  • Grab your leftover apples from the crisper and get them ready. Once you've peeled and cored them, place in a large bowl.
  • Add in the sugars, corn starch and cinnamon
  • Mix everything well, making sure the apples are well coated.
  • Label and date the freezer bags
  • Put 4 cups of apple pie filling into a freezer bag for a 9" pie or use 2 cups for smaller recipes, like apple muffins.
  • Just take your freezer apple pie filling out of the freezer a couple of hours before you are going to bake and you're all set.

Notes

Don't worry if you have more apples than the recipe calls for. You can either increase or decrease the sugar and cinnamon to taste, and if there are more apples, increase the cornstarch as well.
To Thaw: Place the apple pie filling in a dish and thaw overnight in the fridge.
Freezes up to 12 months.
