Slice the frozen cherries in half and mix with sugar. Then mix the flour and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
Cream butter, then add sugar and mix until really fluffy. Slowly mix in eggs one at a time, then the vanilla, flour and sour cream until everything is well blended.
Drain the cherries, reserving the liquid. Gently fold them into the batter. Then spoon into a prepared bundt pan. Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Heat the cherry juice until it bubbles. Once the cake is cool, invert onto your cake plate and brush with the cherry syrup.
Dust with confectioner’s sugar.
