In a saucepan mix sugar. cornstarch, and cocoa powder, gradually add milk and stir until well blended. Cook, stirring constantly, until boiling and it starts to thicken.
Stir in butter, vanilla, and chocolate chips. Cool slightly then pour into the pie shell, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 8 hours.
Beat your whipping cream, powdered sugar and vanilla extract and spread on top of the pie.
Sprinkle with funfetti or chocolate shavings or both! ENJOY!
