Cream the sugar, butter & vanilla together. Beat in eggs. Add in cake flour, sifted cocoa, soda, salt, instant chocolate pudding, and buttermilk. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate chips.


Pour the cake batter into a greased  Angel Food Cake pan. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 325F and bake for another 35 to 45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.


Heat water, butter, and vanilla until the butter is melted. Remove from stove. Stir in cocoa and sugar. Stir in heavy cream, one tablespoon at a time until frosting is thick but will pour onto the cake.


Frost cake by pouring the frosting into the center hole first and then around the top. The frosting will run over the sides too. Serve and enjoy!
